About this policy

YARA! (Yet Another Running App!) is an iPhone app developed by Ken Ng, under atpeaz apps. This policy describes the app’s data handling and the separate use of this website and support email.

Apple Health access is optional and read-only

With your permission, YARA! reads available running, walking and hiking workouts from the last 90 days. The records include the workout identifier, activity type, date, duration, optional distance, source name and an associated recorded or estimated workout effort rating when available. YARA! uses this information to show activity history, calculate its effort-weighted training-load view, estimate running pace from recent usable runs, and support planning.

A separate, optional Cardio Fitness connection reads existing VO₂ max records from the last 180 days, including date, value and source. YARA! does not measure or predict VO₂ max.

The app requests no Health write access. Adding or editing a planned session changes only YARA!’s local plan. The app does not read GPS routes, heart-rate samples, sleep or clinical records, and it does not request location permission. Sample mode lets you explore without granting Health access.

What stays on your iPhone

Your goals, activity and distance preferences, optional running-pace baseline, optional custom running planner guide, cached workout and Cardio Fitness records, planned sessions and plan revisions are stored in a protected local JSON file excluded from app backups. YARA! has no server or iCloud sync and does not upload your Health data.

No YARA account is required or offered. The current app includes no analytics SDK, advertising, tracking, subscriptions or purchases.

On-device AI and chat

When available, YARA! uses Apple’s Foundation Models system model on your iPhone. Relevant local activity, calculated summaries, goals and the effective running planner guide are provided to that model to explain activity and help shape plan drafts. YARA! does not send that context to a remote AI endpoint, and it has no cloud fallback.

A custom planner guide influences AI phrasing and eligible duration choices, while YARA!’s code continues to control dates, activity mix, eligibility and plan validation. Saving a guide clears chat and pending drafts but preserves the saved plan.

Chat messages are held in memory for the current app session and can be cleared. They are not saved in the local profile file. Plan changes require you to review and apply a draft.

Your controls and deletion

You can manage or revoke Health access in Apple’s Health settings. Revoking permission stops access but does not itself remove records already cached by YARA!.

Reset local app data clears YARA!’s local profile, plans, cached records, pace baseline and custom planner guide. Clear chat removes the current chat messages. Resetting YARA! never deletes the original records in Apple Health.

The app cannot distinguish denied Health read permission from an empty set of available records. A refresh replaces the local workout cache and reconciles changed or deleted effort ratings that remain available.

This website

This website is hosted using Cloudflare. When your browser requests a page or asset, the hosting service processes connection and request information needed to deliver and protect the site, which may include your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Hosting infrastructure may keep request or security logs.

The YARA! pages do not add analytics scripts, advertising, tracking cookies or embedded donation services. App Health data is not sent to this website. Hosting and support processing are separate from the app’s on-device storage.

If you email contact [at] atpeaz [dot] com, your email address, message and any attachments are processed by our email services and used to respond to your request. Please do not include personal Health records or other sensitive information unless necessary for your question.
