SG Bus Arrivals ("the app") is developed independently. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it's used.
Location
The app asks for permission to use your device's location ("when in use" only) to show you bus stops near where you are. Your location is used only on your device to sort the list of bus stops by distance, it is never sent to our servers or to any third party, and we do not store it.
You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings. The app remains fully usable without it, you can still search for bus stops by code, name, or road.
Bus Arrival & Bus Stop Data
The app fetches live bus arrival times and the list of Singapore bus stops directly from LTA DataMall, a public data service operated by Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA). Requests to LTA DataMall do not include your location or any personal information, only a bus stop code (when checking arrivals) or a page offset (when downloading the stop list).
The full bus stop list (~5,000 stops, names, codes, coordinates, all public data) is stored on your device so search stays fast. This cache contains no personal data and can be cleared by deleting the app.
What we don't do
- No account or sign-in is required or offered.
- No analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs are included in the app.
- No data about you is collected, stored, or shared by us.
- No data is sold or used for tracking, as defined under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service the app communicates with is LTA DataMall (datamall.lta.gov.sg), operated by Singapore's Land Transport Authority. Use of that service is subject to LTA's own terms; we do not control how LTA handles the requests the app makes to it.
Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
